THE RHINO CUP
OUR STORY
The Rhino Cup is the most unique cricket tournament in the world and the only cricket tournament held in a wildlife conservancy. The Rhino Cup takes place annually over one weekend in June at Ol Pejeta Conservancy to help raise funds for rhino conservation and grassroots cricket development in Kenya.
The last male Northern White Rhino on the planet - Sudan - was alive at Ol Pejeta at the time so the event was named in his honour (The Last Male Standing Rhino Cup, now The Rhino Cup). Since being founded in 2015, the tournament has raised over $200,000 - during which time the rhino population at Ol Pejeta has grown by over 60 rhinos to more than 200 individuals in 2023.
The tournament is a collaborative effort between Ol Pejeta Conservancy, The British Army (BATUK), The East Africa Character Development Trust (EACDT), the Foundation for Youth Cricket & Education in Kenya (FYCEK) and Last Man Stands T20 cricket.
